The Devil’s In The Details

My new ebook, “Walking The Crooked Path” is available on Amazon.com in the Kindle Store, and through Smashwords.com.  You can click on the “Book” link at thecrookedpath.net to see a description and get direct links to the book.

I spent the day debugging various errors and inconsistencies in format, and I’ll only say that both Kindle and Smashwords did a wonderful job of trying to prevent my newbie errors, if only I had slowed down enough to read the guidance (Smashwords’ Style Guide even went so far as to say “NEVER NEVER NEVER” to do some of the things I did.)

I must be more cognitively challenged than I realized.  More later – need sleep.

Hi Corey — I finished your book very late last night and I experienced so many emotions, “I laughed, I cried — it became a part of me…” (who originally said that?) I have to let you know that I sincerely regret that I didn’t stay in contact with you after college, I would have loved to hear some of the stories you shared in the book first hand. As I read your book I was feeling that you wrote in your voice and your tone. It was very familiar and I could even picture your expressions and gestures.

I’m very proud to know you and when you start your book tour, I will try and capitalize with TMZ. “I was Corey’s roommate in college and I have other stories to tell that aren’t in the book…”

The only memory I have of your father was when we graduated and he introduced me to a 12 year old single malt scotch…I said I liked it, but I was really thinking, “This is terrible — yuck”. I may have a different reaction now — it really is an acquired taste.

I recently read this book: http://www.amazon.com/Question-God-Sigmund-Debate-Meaning-ebook/dp/B000FC0T7C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398878915&sr=8-1&keywords=the+question+of+god and I am guessing it is likely that you have also read it, but in the event that you haven’t, I think you would enjoy it…

I haven’t had a satisfying conversation with anyone about the Ender’s Game movie — I want to visit you at some point and address this issue.

God Bless You Corey – please keep sharing – please keep writing!

    John

Congratulations on a great book. Straight forward in terms of describing PD and how your life led you to the point of learning to cope with your disease while at the same time grow in your relationship with the Lord. Thanks for friendship to our Family. It means so much.

Well, I’m green eyed jealous, Corey, as I’ve always wanted to publish a book; also very proud of and for you. The book is amazing. And, I am so happy you were able to reach the point that you could just choose to believe in a living God. — john
